Care Guide
Care Guide
Savette products are made by hand in Italy by master crafts-people, then exampled for quality, and packed with utmost care.
Though all Savette leather goods are made from individually selected skins, please be advised that leathers, animal and plant fibers are natural materials, and slight variations in tone and texture are expected.
Avoid contact with sharp or abrasive items, which could scratch the item's surface. Minimize your items exposure to intense light, heat, and humidity.

Leathers
Savette leathers are selected for their natural beauty and distinctive hand, and will develop character with wear. To ensure that your leather piece ages beautifully, protect it from prolonged exposure to water, oils, cosmetics, perfumes, and other chemicals, which may alter the surface or color of the leather.
Should the leather become wet, gently blot the area with a clean, soft cloth and allow it to dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid rubbing the surface or applying direct heat. Light-colored leathers may be particularly susceptible to color transfer, so we recommend taking care when wearing them against dark or heavily dyed fabrics. Due to the delicate nature of Suede, we do not recommend the use of protectant sprays or topical treatments, as they may alter the material’s natural color and texture.
When not in use, store your bag in its protective dust bag, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
Fibers
Natural and woven fibers are chosen for their texture and variation and should be handled with care. Avoid prolonged contact with water and take particular care around rough or abrasive surfaces, which may catch or disturb the fibers.
For light surface dust, gently wipe the material with a clean, soft cloth. If necessary, spot clean sparingly with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap and water, taking care not to saturate the material. Allow the piece to dry naturally and avoid the use of harsh cleaning products or chemicals.
Due to the nature of woven and plant-based materials, subtle irregularities and variations in texture are to be expected and are part of their individual character.
Hardware
Savette hardware is crafted to complement each piece and may naturally develop subtle signs of wear over time. To preserve its finish, avoid contact with water, perfume, cosmetics, and other chemicals, as well as hard or abrasive surfaces that may cause scratching.
Hardware may be gently wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints or surface marks. Avoid polishing agents or chemical cleaners, which may affect the finish.
When storing your bag, take care that hardware does not press against or come into prolonged contact with the leather or other surfaces of the bag, which may leave an imprint.
